JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Technical Director you will be part of the senior management
team, reporting to the board of directors.

An excellent track record in the delivery of projects to include
design, people management, project costing, budgeting, preparation of
all contract documentation, programming, chairing meetings, managing
contractual issues, site monitoring for compliance, contributing to
the handover of completed projects
An excellent understanding of engineering principles and a strong
technical focus, ability to apply engineering principles and codes of
practice to solve technical problems.
Excellent conceptual design abilities to provide robust and economical
solutions in concrete, steel, timber, masonry etc.
Develop the technical, commercial and management skills of staff that
report to you through mentoring, delegation and training.
Unite and motivate the staff that report to you through leadership,
mutual respect, honest communication and hard work.
Develop new business in agreed market sector and achieve delivery
targets set.
Work to ensure business targets are achieved.
Enhance company profile and assist the Board of Directors in the
promotion of the strategic plan.
REQUIREMENTS
Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum of * years postgraduate experience in
engineering consultancy.
Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland/IStructE.
Significant base of IT skills including;
Structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA,
TEDDS suite, CADS suite, STRAP, REVIT + AutoCAD skills.
Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project
Independent judgement in the application of engineering science and
knowledge including complex design, construction and management.
Leadership skills to plan, manage and direct human, material and
financial resources required to solve complex problems in
multi-disciplinary teams.
High level of commercial understanding and application.
